Nielsen reports mainstream is sluggish, craft is not

Beer sales in the USA for year ending 12 November 2011 was 1.38 billion cases (11.76 billion litres) (down 1.38%) and a value of US$28.6 billion (up 0.6%). The average price of beer in the US off premise retail trade was US$19.82 per case (up 2%). Sales of US brewed "craft" and speciality beers rose by 16.6% in volume and by 17.8% in value. Access News
